Activities / responsibilities

Working with Simon (who setup and led Artist Support in 2026) you will…

  • Find ways to help Artists through the process; both Artistic and process support (e.g. we might want to find some Artists a buddy / accountability partner etc to help them with the bits of the process they find harder)

  • Build a small team of vols to do on-site art support shifts in the first couple of days of event. Encourage skill sharing / resource sharing etc.

  • Make and run the 2027 Nest Artists signal group

  • Monitor the Arts email and deal with anything Artistic related.

  • Update and refresh the Artists Survival Guide

  • Organise the ‘Arty Party’ at Nest to thank Artists

  • Design and run the Artist Feedback process

  • Design and procure the 2027 Artist swag

Why this role is important

In this role you get to encourage and support Artists as they go through the Art process and on–site during the event. It’s super-important to us to find ways to make bringing art to Nest an enjoyable experience.

You'll be great at this if you

  • You enjoy chatting with Artists, finding ways to help people help themselves, providing support and encouragement etc.
  • Can be a bridge between the Artists and all of the underlying processes being run by Art Ops.

Time commitment

Before Nest

  • Participate in Art Circle Meetings (monthly, maybe more frequently as we get to crunch point)

  • Attend Art Grant approval meetings (5 - roughly one per month)

  • Be across the 2027 Nest Artist signal group

  • Work with artists on a case by case basis

During Nest

  • Help coordinate the Art Support volunteers

  • Organising the ‘Arty Party’ at Nest to thank Artists

After Nest

  • Review artist feedback

  • Collate your feedback for 2028
